ULTRAsmart
is an Australian business which develops, sources,
creates, and sells low cost, often innovative, "ultrasmart"
products for small business, education,
entertainment, home, OEMs, robotics, and hobbyists.
We also publish projects
to build. Often electronic, these may also be
computer based, kits, or just a great idea we came
across and wanted to share.
Often our products or
projects will be electronic or computer based -
but not always! (For example, we have a range of
products to assist arthritis sufferers in mind.) Our
products will also often make use of electronic kits, such as
those available from Dick Smith Electronics and Jaycar in
Australia.
Our current range falls into two categories:
automation, control, robotics
signs, displays
AUTOMATION, CONTROL, ROBOTICS
If these are some of the questions you are seeking answers to, then our CONTROLplus products may be just what you have been looking for.
- I just want an easy and simple way of automating basic repetitive tasks?
- Can I use an old PC to control a standard DC motor,
or to automate basic tasks?
- I've seen the parallel port interface kits
sold by Dick Smiths, and Jaycar, but writing
the software to use them to do anything useful
seemed too difficult. Is there something
"out there" I can just install and
run?
- How can I control standard elecro-mechanical
actuator using my PC? Can I get position
control as well?
- I'd like to build my own "PC mouse
based" shaft/position encoder. And use it
to control my ........... (motor) How can I do
that?
- I need a robust, simple, cheap shaft
encoder for a non-corrosive environment. I
hear you are developing such a product
that will sell for under $100?

SIGNS, DISPLAYS
Our SIGNplus products may be just what you need.
- I need a bright, eye-catching sign to help me sell my car? One that is different; will help it to "stand out".
- I need to catch the eye of people passing by my shop - but neon is too expensive?
- I want an electronic sign that I can easily change the message on. One that doesn't need a computer - or a computer wiz to work it?
- I need a display for the machine I'm building. Something bright that doesn't use too much power or take up too much space?
- Point of Sale - how can I attract more attention? And I want it to be re-usable so I get value for money!
- I need a robust, bright alarm display when the fork-lift leaves its parking bay? And can turn on an alarm!
